138 acres of reclaimed limestone rock quarry in Franklin — one of the most genuinely one-of-a-kind ceremony backdrops in Middle Tennessee. Ponds, romantic cliffs, meadows, forests, and a 20-foot waterfall all live on the same property. The Gathering Hall reception space features 30-foot wood ceilings, a two-story stone fireplace, a mezzanine balcony with sweeping views of Moonshine Cove, and a double staircase. All custom-designed event spaces feature Graystone’s own quarry limestone and locally milled wood. Up to 300 guests. The all-inclusive pricing covers venue, catering, florals, coordination, and more.
Photo tip: Reserve a few quiet minutes near sunset. The light reflecting off the quarry water creates an entirely different look from portraits earlier in the day. Additionally, the mezzanine balcony is often overlooked — it gives a spectacular wide angle of the reception floor that is nearly impossible to replicate at any other Franklin venue. For video, the glass doors that slide away during cocktail hour create a genuinely cinematic indoor-to-outdoor transition.

More than 200 acres of rolling hills tucked between Leiper’s Fork and historic downtown Franklin, with a nearly 100-year-old tobacco barn as the indoor reception space and a modern Hall with floor-to-ceiling windows as the alternative. Four distinct outdoor ceremony locations — a gazebo, a lawn, a wooden arch, and an oak tree — give couples real flexibility. Up to 280 guests seated. Accommodations, bar service, catering, coordination, and event rentals are all available. One event per day, exclusive use of the property.
Photo tip: The rolling meadow terrain here is some of the best in Williamson County for drone footage. Furthermore, photographers consistently praise Southall’s staff for accommodating vendor needs — clean bathrooms, water stations, and a friendly team make working here noticeably easier than at DIY farm venues. The aged tobacco barn photographs beautifully in ambient light. The warm wood tones read as genuinely historic rather than “rustic aesthetic.”

Steps from the center of historic downtown Franklin — a renovated 1911 historic home on the National Register of Historic Places, with a romantic garden, covered pavilion, and courtyard. Everything is all-inclusive: planning, coordination, catering, tables, linens, lighting, and cleanup. Capacity caps at 135 guests, which keeps it genuinely intimate. The bridal suite has large windows overlooking Franklin’s street below. The groom’s lounge is in the wine cellar downstairs.
Photo tip: The garden’s layered plantings and string lights give a naturally editorial quality after dark. Spring blooms create colorful, romantic backgrounds without any added decoration. In addition, the downtown Franklin location means couples can step off the property for street portraits in under two minutes — a real bonus for video variety. For camera-shy couples, the intimate scale keeps the focus on them rather than a large room.

A privately owned, all-inclusive farm on 40 acres of fields and rolling hills about 20 minutes south of downtown Nashville. The property includes a historic manor home, a bridal house with a pool, three barns, and a catering kitchen. Capacity is intentionally capped at 170 guests. The all-inclusive model covers catering, florals, cake, DJ, decor, and a planning team — meaning days run on efficient, well-paced timelines.
Photo tip: With three barns and a manor house on the same property, there is real portrait variety without covering significant ground. The bridal house pool area is an underused portrait location. The combination of water reflection and surrounding tree line photographs well in mid-morning light. Additionally, the all-inclusive model protects the timeline — couples at Cedarmont are rarely scrambling for their golden-hour window.

A luxury boutique hotel in the heart of historic downtown Franklin with 5,000 square feet of flexible event space for up to 200 guests. The Riverside Ballroom is a 2,500-square-foot naturally lit space with timeless design details. The tree-lined outdoor courtyard is a popular ceremony location. The majestic interior staircase is a signature portrait spot. In-house catering from 1799 Kitchen and Cocktails, 119 guest rooms, and a walkable downtown location make it a natural wedding-weekend hub.
Photo tip: The staircase descent is one of the stronger built-in dramatic moments of any Franklin venue — plan for it in your timeline and make sure your videographer is positioned at the base. The courtyard works best for portraits in the late afternoon when the tree canopy softens the light. Moreover, the walkable downtown location gives options for departure shots along Franklin’s historic Main Street that farm venues simply cannot offer.

An 1825 antebellum mansion on 400 acres inside Marcella Vivrette Smith Park in Brentwood — about 20 minutes from downtown Franklin. Rolling hills, forested hillsides, manicured lawns, and an open-air setup make it one of the most naturally scenic estate venues in the Nashville area. Outdoor seating holds up to 300 guests with tents. Indoor seating holds up to 80. Exclusive use of the mansion and grounds. All outside vendors are welcome.
Photo tip: The 400-acre park setting gives a genuinely countryside feel that is rare for a venue this close to Nashville. Deer occasionally appear at the tree line during sunset portraits — the kind of organic moment that makes highlight reels. In particular, the towering trees and sweeping lawns give multiple ceremony backdrop options within the same property. That said, plan your reception logistics carefully since there is no permanent indoor reception space for large groups — a tent is the standard solution.

A 40-acre all-inclusive farm estate in Nolensville — about 30 minutes from downtown Franklin — on the rolling hillsides of Williamson County. Maximum capacity is 280 seated. The all-inclusive package covers florals, catering, wedding cake, DJ, coordination, and a sprinter van for the bridal party. The property has a serene pond, open fields, and multiple ceremony sites. Two separate dressing suites include a 1,700-square-foot bridal suite with four lounge areas and salon stations.
Photo tip: The pond and surrounding hill are among the most reliable golden-hour portrait setups in the Franklin area. The water reflection doubles the visual depth and scales beautifully for video without additional setup. Additionally, the all-inclusive model means days at Mint Springs are very well-paced — your portrait window will land where it’s supposed to. The venue does not restrict photographer choice, so you’re free to bring your own team.

On the grounds of the legendary Loveless Cafe — a Nashville institution since 1951 — The Loveless Barn is a timber-frame barn with exposed brick, vaulted ceilings, and chandeliers for up to 250 guests. The Loveless Cafe provides in-house catering. The property’s iconic signage and Tennessee character give couples a recognizable, nostalgic Nashville-area backdrop that photographs with an instant sense of place.
Photo tip: The brick walls and timber beams give a naturally warm, layered look to reception photos that is hard to over-light or under-light. The Loveless Cafe signage outside the barn is a strong portrait backdrop for couples who want a nod to Tennessee character in their gallery. For video, the established name recognition of the Loveless Cafe adds an instant storytelling layer to highlight films without any additional setup.

Franklin is one of the most in-demand wedding markets in Middle Tennessee, and pricing reflects that. Most venues fall in the $5,000 to $20,000+ range for the venue alone. All-inclusive venues like Graystone Quarry, Southall Meadows, CJ’s Off the Square, and Cedarmont Farm bundle coordination, catering, and vendor management into one price. Popular dates at top Franklin venues book a year or more in advance. Always confirm current pricing directly with each venue.
The most-requested outdoor options in the Franklin area are Graystone Quarry (quarry landscape, waterfall, and pond), Southall Meadows (200+ acres of rolling farmland with four ceremony sites), Ravenswood Mansion (400-acre estate grounds in Brentwood), and Mint Springs Farm (40-acre farm with pond and open fields in Nolensville). Each has a solid indoor backup for rain.
Most full-service Franklin venues handle rain gracefully. Graystone Quarry’s Gathering Hall has slide-away glass doors that maintain outdoor views from inside. Southall Meadows offers both the historic barn and the Hall as indoor alternatives. Cedarmont Farm’s barns step in seamlessly. CJ’s Off the Square’s covered pavilion protects the ceremony while keeping the garden feel. We always walk through the rain plan with couples well in advance.
It helps considerably, especially in Franklin where venues like Graystone Quarry and Southall Meadows have strong visual signatures that reward local knowledge. A team that knows your venue understands the best light windows, where to position during the ceremony, and which portrait locations look effortless versus which require setup time. As a photo and video team serving the Franklin and Nashville area, we scout any new venue ahead of your wedding day.
April through May and October through November are the most popular. Spring at venues like Southall Meadows and CJ’s Off the Square is visually spectacular as the grounds bloom. Fall brings Williamson County’s warm golden light and comfortable temperatures that make outdoor portraits feel easy from morning through sunset. Summer weddings work well with the right timeline. Graystone Quarry’s evening light on the water is particularly beautiful in the summer months.
